nur eingeschmolzene basisschiffe werden wieder hergestellt. upgrades die ein eingeschmolzenesn schiff hatte, gehen verloren. Hi again everyone.. I sought some clarification pertaining to the ummelt or 'buy back' of upgraded pledges and it turns out I told a lie! The backend side of it gets a little more complicated than I had anticipated, and the way our system is able to automate the unmelting process is by essentially copying the melted package (aka. SKU - Store Keeping Unit, a discreet saleable unit) and creating a new SKU. Where this becomes relevant is when one considers that an upgraded ship is a combination of two separate SKUs - the base pledge and the applied upgrade, they do not combine into a new single SKU. (Evidenced by how upgraded pledges appear in the 'My Hangar' view.) As there are a myriad of possible base and upgrade SKU combinations, it is not feasable (far from!) to have the system be able to account for all of these, thus when auto-unmelt/'buy-back' is initiated by yourselves, the system can only copy and recreate the base SKU/Pledge but not the applied upgrade! Whilst this effectively means you will have the ability to indirectly remove upgrades from pledges without our assistance, it does also mean that a limited upgrade would still be lost if it had been applied to a base pledge which was melted. TL;DR: Unmelting/'buying back' a package with an upgrade applied would only restore the base package. Applied upgrades are lost and not restored alongside the base pledge.
